If it is your first time looking into L!FE Leaders, Inc. WELCOME to the Community!
L!FE Leaders, Inc. is a 501c3, nonprofit organization that focuses on career development and Youth Leadership training. Our two principal programs, Excellence Corps and Youth Summit Council provide part-time paid employment that enables young people to engage in interpersonal and business skills training, leadership development, post-secondary academic and career planning, professional relationship building and networking, Detroit exploration, and community engagement projects.
Programs operate in the after-school hours during the academic year and for a six-week summer session to prepare youth with the experiences and skills they will need to attain post-secondary financial independence, academic achievement, and career success.
Students build a repertoire of relevant work experience, develop in-demand career skills, and secure letters of recommendation that make them competitive candidates for scholarships, colleges and universities, workforce training programs, internships, and careers.
Excellence Corps and Youth Summit both include post-secondary academic and career visioning and planning. Every L!FE student leaves with a comprehensive plan that includes their desired post-secondary goals and credentials, career interests, and a proposed career track.
