L!FE’s mission is to equip Detroit’s youth with the skills, confidence, and connections to become active participants in shaping their personal and professional lives, and their city’s future. We believe that “knowing where you are” is essential to understanding the opportunity in front of you and building the audacity to achieve. 

Our programs are grounded in the conviction that confidence, knowledge, relationships, and collaboration are the cornerstones of leadership—and that change happens when young people are empowered to confidently lead with a seat at the table.

Each student participating in L!FE programs is a part-time paid employee – providing financially accessible opportunities often unavailable through unpaid internships or traditional learning experiences.
