Alan Spalter

Alan began his retail career in retail at Bloomingdale’s while in college. After graduation, he entered their executive training program and proceeded rapidly through several management positions including Assistant Store Manager of their 59th flagship street store. He gained further retail experience at Dayton Hudson Corp and then with started his own sales rep firm based in New York before starting Retail Assistance Corporation (RAC). Started with only 3 employees in 1990, RAC is now the pre-eminent merchandising, branding, training and sales firm specializing in Department and Specialty stores in America with over 1,100 employees.  RAC partners with major manufacturers and retailers such as Kate Spade, Steve Madden, Tommy Hilfiger, Polo Ralph Lauren, Swarovski, Macy’s, JC Penney, Target, Kohls and others. Alan is also active within his community having served as President of Phoenix’s largest synagogue, Board member of Jews with Special Needs, Public member at Large of the Phoenix Federal Court Judicial Review Committee, and Member of the Scottsdale Unified School District Blue Ribbon Advisory Board. A graduate of Connecticut College, he is the proud father of Andrew and Matthew.
